Mon Bebe August Newsletter

Where is the sun?

In a bottle ! In Mon Bebe's bottle to be precise..

Thank you for this great review, we love Robyn's review because there is all the stuff in it that we love about Mon Bebe...

Merci!

When I first read about this I thought it was a baby perfume. Which I found quite intriguing, however now I realise that It is a bit of a miracle potion. Aromatherapy, colic relief and cradle cap cure?

When it arrived, I fell in love with the packaging. My toddler was curious about what had been delivered and insisted that it was his, making his claim to it before he even knew what it was.

Finn always want to do 'just as Daddy does' and when they get ready together, Daddy always has to share his fragrances with Finn. Although this is sweet, Finn is asthmatic and I really worry that fragrances will bother his asthma. I am also asthmatic as well as being allergic to everything, so I never ever wear perfume. I thought that this would be a lovely little treat for both my boys, depending on it meeting expectations and none of us reacting to it. However this is a scented water, which also carries the Mummy thumbs up of being dermatologically tested, clinically tested, hypoallergenic and alcohol free. So when Finn pawed at the box, I let him wear some, with quiet confidence that it was not going to cause an allergic reaction. I sprayed a little on him and a little on Alfie's clothes.

It smelt beautiful! Like a mixture of fresh summer air, sun cream, ice cream and the beach! It took me back to being on a Portuguese beach, at the height of summer, watching the sun set with an ice tea. It amazed me how powerful a scent could be, and I hope that my boys associate the smell with lovely things too. Which is another bonus to this product.

I sprayed a little bit on myself, as I know that it won't bother my boys, or my asthma, or my husbands asthma! As I am breastfeeding Alfie too, I felt reassured that it was safe to wear even while feeding him. I love having a fragrance on, it made me feel so fresh and awake, which is something I rarely feel with two children under the age of 3!

When I read the leaflet that came inside the beautiful packaging, I was amazed to read that this scented water can help settle babies that are suffering from colic, which we have passed now, but I would have loved to have tried this earlier on with Alfie, it has definitely settled him at night with his teething pains.

I was also impressed to read that it also treats and prevents cradle cap! Alfie really suffers with cradle cap and nothing seems to work. I sprayed a little bit and rubbed it into his hair, he did not mind because he is used to the smell, he wasn't even curious! A few hours later the dry skin patches just came away when I stroked his hair, leaving his head totally free of cradle cap.

I think that this is the perfect gift for anyone expecting a new baby. Not only is it perfect for Mum to feel fresh, but baby can associate with the smell, meaning that those first daunting nights in the moses basket aren't daunting at all. With both of my boys I had to wrap them in clothes that smelt like me, that I had worn, but before I had started breast feeding, so that they would settle when I put them down, yet anything that I wore after I had started breastfeeding would just wake them up as they could smell the milk! If I had have had this, I think that they would have settled on their own, just with the familiar smell.

Done..
